Thanksgiving

Well, it's only 9 days until Thanksgiving. The year has just flown by!

I know this has been a bad year for so many people. As much as I hate to see the economy drop and so many families hurting, I do have to admit I'm happy about one thing. It seems that this has finally made people stop and take a good look at what "life" turned into. Everything got so advanced and so fast. Nobody was taking the time to "stop and smell the roses", if you will.

There is nothing wrong with living a simple life. Granted,I don't want to give up my computer or some of the other luxuries of life, but I love the realization of people doing more "quality" things with their families. Why not just go be "tourists" locally for a weekend. Take the kids to a movie. Walk through the park. Go to a local cafe and get pie and coffee or hot chocolate.

I know there are so many good memories of simple things as a child. Life was easier then, in its way.

I hope everyone this year is able to find lots to be thankful for. Even though it's been tough, and for lots, it still is, I wish you all the best this year and hope you all enjoy the holiday season to the fullest!

Oh Wow!

I have been so far behind and so busy that I have not updated here! I am so SORRY!!!!!!

I have been very busy working my Scentsy business, as well as my weekend janitorial job. Plus in June, I started a part-time job at the local flower shop. I love it!!!! What a great way to be around flowers and not actually have to take "complete care" of them!

I apologize for not updating in so long. I will really do better.

WooHoo

I'm getting ready to go to Scentsy's 5 Year Convention next month. I'm excited!

We get to see the new Fall/Winter scents and any new products! I can't wait to see what they have come up with now!

I love the Spring/Summer scents, but it's exciting to see the other ones come in, too. I really hope they bring back "Coffee". Plus, I have to see what is being discontinued, so I can stock up on any of those.

I love Scentsy!!!!

My Work...

So, as you know I am a Scentsy Consultant. I have to say I wish I had known about Scentsy sooner. I love it! My house always smells so good and I get to share it with others!
http://www.scentsy.com/lanaet

I know so many people who like candles and that's why Scentsy is so great! It's just a better candle. Safer, since there is NO flame. Better looking since you can choose your own warmer. And the scents...oh man... how to pick a scent! With over 80 scents at any time, and a new one every month, you are guaranteed to find one, or eight, that are your favorite.

I love the fact that the wax doesn't get hot enough to burn either. That is such an awesome thing with kids. I don't have to worry if my kids bump it and get wax on themselves. No worries, just pick it off.

And now, we are getting ready to go back into the Fall/Winter scents. So, come September, we will have some new scents and warmers for the cooler part of the year. Which means, August will be 10% off!

It's also a great time to sign up as a consultant!!! Contact me if you are interested in becoming part of the Scentsy family!!!! http://www.scentsy.com/lanaet

Spring Showers...Late

We have been having wonderful, beautiful thunderstorms lately. In June. Mid June, no less.

Just a bit behind schedule for "spring showers bring May flowers."

All the same, the lightning is wonderful to watch, the thunder is music to my ears, and the rain means I don't have to water the lawn.

Poor Grasshopper

I shall go on.

News has come in that David Carradine has died. He was one of my favorite actors. The link above will take you to the story aired on Yahoo.com.

We shall miss his quiet characters greatly.

The picture is also from the Yahoo story.

For real???????

I want to know what right anybody has to tell us how to care for our children????? I mean, yeah, if we aren't feeding them then fine, get mad. Or beating them, then yes, be pissed. But do not tell me that if my child understands the consequences of refusing chemo, that we will be hunted down for refusing it. That is so a personal decision. In no way should any judge be able to dictate that decision for any single person. Get real!!!!
